Medical Korean Skin Treatment
Treatment Description
Korean Glass Skin (the coveted complexion ideal of translucent, poreless, luminously dewy skin) is the inspiration behind this advanced medical-grade resurfacing treatment. Developed by TROIAREUKE, a leading Korean medical skincare brand trusted by aesthetic clinics and dermatologists worldwide, the VVS Peel is a next-generation multi-acid chemical peeling programme designed to deliver immediate, visible results without pain, significant downtime, or the harsh side effects associated with conventional chemical peels.
Unlike aggressive peeling treatments that strip and sensitise the skin, the VVS Peel works with the skin’s natural biology, using a precise combination of five different acids alongside a pH-buffering and mineral-balancing protocol that controls the resurfacing process carefully, safely, and comfortably. The result is a refined, radiant, glass-like complexion: smoother texture, more even tone, and a healthy, luminous glow.
This treatment is suitable for all skin types, including mature, hyperpigmented, acne-prone, uneven, and sensitive skin and can be adapted for ethnic skin tones where more aggressive peeling treatments carry a higher risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
What to Expect
- Consultation: Treatment begins with a skin assessment to review your concerns, skin history, and goals, and to confirm the most appropriate VVS protocol for your skin type and condition.
- Protein Balance VVS Peel: The VVS Peel contains a combination of five carefully selected acids that resurface the skin while supporting protein balance within the skin matrix. By encouraging protein density, the peel contributes to a more refined and resilient skin structure, visibly improving texture and smoothness. During this stage, the therapist can continue to massage and contour the face while the acids work, delivering a simultaneous lifting and sculpting effect with no discomfort.
- Mineral Balance VVS Enhancer Mask: Following the peel, the VVS Enhancer Mask is applied to support balanced mineral conditions within the skin. Maintaining mineral balance is a critical step for safe, effective, and controlled skin resurfacing, it helps stabilise the skin’s response and supports the transition from active resurfacing to recovery.
- pH Balance Acid Buffering: Throughout the treatment, a controlled acid-buffering process supports skin comfort, safety, and consistent resurfacing results. pH balance is essential in achieving clear, flawless-looking skin and the VVS protocol’s stable buffering mechanism ensures the resurfacing process remains precisely controlled from start to finish.
- Finish: The session concludes with calming, hydrating actives to soothe the skin and lock in the post-peel glow. Most clients notice an immediate improvement in skin luminosity, smoothness, and evenness directly following the treatment with continued improvement over the following days as cellular renewal progresses.
Benefits
- Immediate Results, No Downtime: Unlike conventional chemical peels, the VVS Peel is designed to deliver immediate visible results (improved radiance, texture, and tone) without significant downtime, peeling, or the prolonged redness and sensitivity associated with more aggressive resurfacing treatments.
- Glass Skin Glow: Directly inspired by the Korean Glass Skin ideal, the treatment delivers the translucent, dewy, poreless-looking complexion that defines this coveted aesthetic, with results visible immediately after treatment.
- Multi-Acid Resurfacing: The combination of five acids works synergistically across different layers of the skin to achieve a more thorough and balanced resurfacing effect than single-acid peels, improving texture, tone, and radiance simultaneously.
- Protein, Mineral & pH Balance: The three-phase protocol addresses the skin’s structural balance — protein density, mineral environment, and pH stability, ensuring safe, controlled, and effective resurfacing with minimal irritation.
- Contouring Effect: The unique TROIAREUKE technique allows the therapist to massage and contour the face during treatment, providing an additional sculpting and lifting effect alongside the chemical resurfacing benefits.
- Suitable for All Skin Types: Including mature skin with fine lines and wrinkles, hyperpigmented skin, uneven skin tone and texture, acne-prone skin, and sensitive skin — including ethnic skin types where traditional peels carry greater risk.
- No Pain: The carefully controlled acid formulation and buffering process ensure the treatment is comfortable throughout, no burning, stinging, or significant discomfort.
Preparation Instructions
- Prior to Treatment: Avoid using retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, and exfoliating skincare products for at least five to seven days before your appointment to reduce the risk of sensitivity during the peel.
- Sun Exposure: Avoid prolonged sun exposure and tanning in the two weeks before treatment.
- Accutane: Do not undergo chemical peeling if you have used Accutane (isotretinoin) within the past six months.
- Skin Condition: Inform your practitioner of any active breakouts, skin infections, known sensitivities, or recent aesthetic treatments before your session.
- Arrive Fresh: Come to your appointment with clean skin, free of makeup and skincare products.
Aftercare
- ⚠️ Crucial Rule: Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 50+ daily following treatment and avoid direct sun exposure for at least two weeks. Resurfaced skin is significantly more sensitive to UV damage, and unprotected sun exposure can trigger post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
- Hydration: Keep the skin well moisturised following treatment, use gentle, hydrating products containing ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, centella asiatica, or ceramides to support barrier recovery and lock in the post-treatment glow.
- Avoid Actives: Do not use retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, vitamin C, or other active exfoliating ingredients for at least five to seven days post-treatment. Allow the skin to complete its natural resurfacing cycle undisturbed.
- Avoid Heat & Sweat: Refrain from saunas, steam rooms, strenuous exercise, and hot showers for 24 to 48 hours following treatment.
- No Picking: Do not pick at or forcibly remove any dry or flaking skin. Allow it to shed naturally as part of the skin’s renewal process.
- Avoid Other Peels & Treatments: Do not have chemical peels, microneedling, laser treatments, or facial waxing for at least two weeks post-treatment.
- Maintenance: For sustained glass-skin results, a series of two to three treatments spaced four weeks apart is recommended, followed by regular monthly or seasonal maintenance sessions.
