Removes unsightly skin tags, warts and age spots for that perfect finish

Cryotherapy is a reference treatment for the treatment of skin imperfections. It treats the tissue by freezing the inter-cellular fluid to destroy the cell structure. Treatment goes quickly and the duration will depend on the size and the depth. The innovative Cryopen emits a fine jet of CO2 under high pressure which allows the clinician to work with precision. The result is that there will be no collateral damage to healthy tissue.

Procedures typically last from 2 to 10 seconds per spot. So you can be in and out quickly. After the treatment the spot that has been destroyed will – during15days – act as a protective cover for the new skin that is forming.Generally there are 2 short cycles for the treatment.

First cycle freeze

The applicator of the Cryopen is held to the skin and the gas is supplied to the tissue by circular movements. This can be from 2-10 seconds, depending on the size and depth of the relevant tissue.

Is it safe?

Cryotherapy is a low-risk procedure. Cryopen delivers CO2 directly to the area and not the healthy surrounding tissue. Cryopen is both CE and FDA registered.

Will it be painful?

There will be a pain sensation similar to a ballpoint pen being pushed onto the skin when the CO2 touches the lesion. There might be a little residual for a few minutes after treatment. Occasionally a blister might form and persist for a few hours.

None

After the treatment new skin will be developed during the next 14 days. The old lesion will form a crust that will fall off (14 days).

The newly formed skin should be protected from the sun the moment the crust will fall off.
