Mesoestetic MD Melanostop Tranex Skin Peel
Treatment Description
The Mesoestetic MD Melanostop Tranex Skin Peel is an intensive, medically formulated depigmenting peel that addresses hyperpigmentation at its source by regulating melanogenesis and eliminating melanin build-up. It is specifically indicated for stubborn pigmented epidermal lesions, including those of hormonal, inflammatory, and photo-ageing origin.
A key differentiator is the inclusion of tranexamic acid, which uniquely targets three pathways of pigmentation: the melanin synthesis pathway, the inflammatory pathway, and the vascular pathway. This multi-pathway approach makes it particularly effective for resistant or recurring forms of hyperpigmentation, such as melasma.
What to Expect
- Consultation: Your clinician will assess your pigmentation concerns, skin type, and history to select the appropriate protocol. A pre-peel depigmenting homecare programme may be recommended.
- The Active Formula: The peel contains a complex blend including 20% Salicylic Acid for exfoliation, 1.75% Tranexamic Acid for tri-pathway depigmentation, plus Kojic Acid, 4-Butylresorcinol, 4-Hexylresorcinol, Glutathione, Caffeic Acid, Shikimic Acid, Arginine, and the MD Complex for barrier regeneration.
- The Procedure: Applied to clean, dry skin and left on for two to six minutes based on skin response. Sessions take 30 to 45 minutes.
- LED Light Therapy Enhancement: Highly recommended to accelerate cellular healing, reduce inflammation, and enhance depigmenting results.
- Results: Visible improvement in skin tone and luminosity. A recommended course is four to six sessions spaced two to three weeks apart.
Benefits
- Multi-Pathway Depigmentation: Uniquely addresses melanin synthesis, inflammation, and vascularisation to combat resistant pigmentation.
- Accelerates Epidermal Renewal: Rapidly removes melanin-laden cells to reveal a fresher complexion.
- Effective for Melasma: Tranexamic acid’s tri-pathway action is particularly well-suited for treating melasma.
- Suitable for All Skin Types: Formulated for safety across all skin phototypes, including darker and ethnic tones.
- Antioxidant Protection: Glutathione and caffeic acid neutralise oxidative stress, reducing the likelihood of pigmentation relapse.
- Treats Face & Body: Versatile application for both facial and body areas.
Preparation Instructions
- Night Before Treatment: Avoid using vitamin A (retinol) products.
- Active Skincare: Discontinue retinoids, AHAs, BHAs, and active exfoliating skincare for five to seven days prior.

Aftercare
- ⚠️ Crucial Rule: Do not wash skin on the evening of treatment (restorative treatment must remain overnight). Do not pick at peeling skin. Apply SPF 50 daily without exception.
- Day After Treatment: Gently cleanse with a fragrance-free cleanser; use only gentle, hydrating products for the next few days.
- Day 2: Light flaking or dryness is normal; allow the skin to shed naturally at its own pace.
- Day 4: Active products may be reintroduced.
- Ongoing Aftercare: Apply broad-spectrum SPF 50 every morning. Maintain your prescribed depigmenting homecare routine consistently between sessions. Keep skin well-moisturised.
